Strategies for individuals and organizations and ways that they can improve cultural and linguistic competency in their practice.

May 23, 2023 | 8:30 am – 12:30 pm (PST)

Module 2: Participants will look at identifying what healthcare inequities and disparities mean, as well as what they look like in real world practice. Participants will also learn the difference between healthcare equality and equity and why this is important. Finally, the module will look at strategies for how individuals and organizations advance healthcare equity for all people.

Module 3: Participants will learn about the 15 National Cultural and Linguistic Appropriate Service (CLAS) Standards. Participants will be provided each standard and examples of what that looks like in practice. There will be discussions around why CLAS is so important in healthcare.
